BOTTINEAU COUNTY
Superintendent of Schools Office
The Superintendent's duties include organizing student activities such as spelling bees, MATHCOUNTS and other local and state contests. The Superintendent conducts workshops for the training of school bus drivers. He assists teachers and administrators and provide information on school law and legislative matters. The County Superintendent of Schools assumes the primary responsibility in restructuring school district boundaries.

Bottineau/Rolette County MATHCOUNTS
Competition was held February 19th at MSU-Bottineau.
Students representing Bottineau County and competing at the State MATHCOUNTS competition in Bismarck, March 16 are Brianna Berg and Joey Hackman both from Bottineau Middle School.

Bottineau/Rolette County Spelling Bee
Competition was held Wednesday, March 03, at MSU-Bottineau.
150 Students from 9 schools participated.

Third Grade:   Madison Reimche, Bottineau - 1st,    Alexix Gullett, Bottineau - 2nd
Fourth Grade: Emily Lesman, Westhope - 1st,        Dalton Barbot, Bottineau - 2nd
Fifth Grade:    Jaden Strand, Bottineau - 1st,           Alyssa Millang, Bottineau - 2nd
Sixth Grade:   Erin Severson, Bottineau - 1st,          Chance Kitzman, Newburg - 2nd
JR. High:         Alexandra Anderson, Newburg - 1st,  Tristan Anderson, Westhope - 2nd 
                      Alexandra and Tristan will compete at the State Spelling Bee held in
                      Bismarck, March 27.
